Challenge

In the quest to reduce the stress caused by uncertainty during the airport experience, we collaborated with Aeropuertos Argentina to create a conversational channel capable of transforming the travel experience for both travelers and their companions. The main objective of this project is to strengthen self-management of the pre-travel time, provide timely information to passengers about their flight status, reduce anxiety levels associated with the flying process, and promote airport services through a familiar and international platform like WhatsApp. To achieve this, we aimed to facilitate and optimize the different stages of the journey with a conversational asset capable of:

  • Providing predictability about flight status.
  • Obtaining real-time feedback to quickly respond to users and learn more about their needs and preferences.
  • Designing personalized experiences for different types of travelers and those who need to pass through the airport.

Results

ADA Airport Assistant is operational at Aeroparque and Ezeiza and is currently being developed for five other airports in Argentina. The design of the conversational asset adapts to the characteristics of each airport, offering a unique in-situ experience that addresses every phase of the journey from check-in to security and immigration. Additionally, it is designed to cater to different types of users, whether they are frequent travelers, first-time travelers, people with disabilities, or companions, among others. 57% of users consult ADA to check their flight status, followed by parking payment and travel requirements. The virtual assistant of Aeropuertos Argentina facilitates aeronautical information and processes to improve and simplify the way Argentinians and citizens of the world travel.
